Microsoft ships Windows NT for Alpha systems.

MS-DOS ver. 6.0. Provides the INTERLINK and INTERSVR utilities which allow exchange files between different computers. It was the fastest selling product for Microsoft with 7 million copies sold in the first year.

Adobe's Page Maker 5.0 for Windows.

Marc Andreessen develops the first version of Mosaic, a point-and-click browser for the Internet with a graphical user interface.

Microsoft Publisher 2 for Windows.

Microsoft Works 3 for Windows.

Symantec's Q&A ver. 4 for Windows.

Adobe launched Acrobat, a program that allows users of different types of computers to view the same documents complete with graphics and layouts.
